====== Cups / Championships ======

If you organise several events during the year, MiRally can automatically build the cup or championship standings from the results of each event.

Cups are managed from the [[en:mirally:portal-mirally:organizacion|Organisation]] page, in the **Cups / Championships** section.

==== Creating a cup ====

  - In Cups / Championships, click **New**.
  - Fill in the form fields (see below).
  - In **Rallies**, tick the events that are part of the cup. All your events are listed with their date.
  - Click **Save**.

Form fields:

  * **Year** and **Name**: year and name of the cup.
  * **Scoring Method**:
    * **Cup Ranking Points**: each competitor earns points according to their position in each event.
    * **Sum Race Penalties**: the penalty points of all events are added up. The lowest total wins.
  * **Logo**: https link to the image of the cup logo.
  * **Discard Worst Races**: each competitor's worst results are not counted. Enter how many events are discarded.
  * **Public**: the cup standings can be viewed publicly.
  * **Show Pairs**: shows the standings by pairs (driver and navigator) by default.
  * **Show Car Number**: shows the car number next to the name.
  * **Hide Overall**: hides the overall standings.

==== Points per position ====

If you choose **Cup Ranking Points**, the points for each position are set in each event, in [[en:mirally:rally:editar-prueba|Edit Event]] -> Advanced:

  * **Ranking Rules**: the points for each overall position, separated by commas. Example: 25,20,16,13,11,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 (1st gets 25 points, 2nd 20, etc.).
  * **Cup Ranking Points in Categories**: the same, for the standings of each category.

Competitors marked as **Retired** score no points in that event. Organisation vehicles do not appear in the cup standings.

==== Viewing the standings ====

In the list of cups on the Organisation page you have the buttons to see the cup **Results**, **Edit** or **Delete** it.

**IMPORTANT:** the cup standings are calculated when the cup is saved. Each time the results of an event are published, open the cup with **Edit** and click **Save** to update the standings.
