Calibration

Calibration is an adjustment of our odometer's distance measurement to the distance proposed by the rally organization. Performing a proper calibration is one of the most important steps for success in a Regularity Rally.

Generally, the calibration is a separate document/paper from the route book, but it can also be indicated in the first stage of the roadbook.

IMPORTANT:

To perform the calibration, follow these steps:

  1. Open the “Calibration” screen.
  2. Stop the car with the pillar aligned to the sign indicated at the start of the calibration stage.
  3. Click on “Reset Odometer”.
  4. Complete the route, driving properly and following the organizer's instructions.
  5. Stop the car with the pillar aligned to the sign indicated at the end of the calibration stage.
  6. Enter the measurement indicated by the organization and press the calibrate button.
  7. Return to the start of the calibration stage, reset the odometer and complete the route again to check if it matches the official measurement.

Below is the calibration screen in Rabbit Rally 2.0, which describes exactly the steps above.
