Opening a Digital Roadbook (RBK) [Rabbit Docs]

====== Opening a Digital Roadbook (RBK) ======

When the rally organiser works with a digital roadbook, they will send you a file with the **.RBK** extension. This file, created with the [[en:roadbook-designer-organizadores:index|Roadbook Designer]], contains everything you need to navigate: the sub-stages with the average speeds, the references with their tulips and, if the organiser recorded them, the GPS coordinates of the references for the [[en:rabbit-rally-2-0-competidores:funciones-avanzadas:editor-de-referencias-ajuste-automatico-por-gps|automatic adjustment]].

There are three ways to open the roadbook in the Rabbit. Choose the one that suits you best.

==== From the RoadBook screen ====

  - Download the .RBK file to your phone or tablet.
  - Open the menu and select Navigation ([[en:rabbit-rally-2-0-competidores:navegacion:roadbook|RoadBook screen]]).
  - Tap the "Open a digital roadbook" button.
  - Select the .RBK file.

==== Directly from the file ====

  - **Android**: tap the .RBK file in the email, in WhatsApp or in the downloads folder and choose to open it with Rabbit Rally.
  - **iOS (iPhone or iPad)**: select the file attached to an email, or open the download link in Safari, and choose to open it with Rabbit Rally.

==== From the Stage Editor ====

  - Open the menu and select "Stages".
  - Tap Stages Manager and select "Import".
  - Select the .RBK file.

In all three cases the Rabbit opens the RoadBook screen at the first reference. The roadbook is loaded as Stage 01, with all its sub-stages and references. All that is left is to set the [[en:rabbit-rally-2-0-competidores:navegacion:hora-de-salida|start time]] and wait for your time. Go!

**Important! Opening a digital roadbook deletes all the stages you had in the Stage Editor. If you want to keep them, export them first in Stages Manager -> Export.**

==== Blocked roadbook ====

The organiser can protect the roadbook with a password or limit it to the dates of the rally. In that case, the RoadBook screen shows the message **RoadBook Blocked**.

  * **With a password**: enter the password the organisers gave you and the roadbook is unlocked.
  * **With dates**: the roadbook can only be viewed between the dates set by the organiser.

==== Routes and speed rallies ====

If the roadbook is for a route or a speed rally (not regularity), the Rabbit adapts the screen automatically: it shows the chronometer instead of the Time to Ideal and the compass instead of the sub-stage average speeds.

You can switch between the two modes at any time with the **Speed rally mode** button on the RoadBook screen.
