Connections [Rabbit Docs]

====== Connections ======

On the **Connections** screen you choose where your odometer's distance comes from: your phone's GPS, the sensors of the Rabbit Box or Rabbit PRO, or your co-driver's Rabbit if you use this device as the Pilot Screen. To open it, open the menu and select "Connections".

The screen is called **Odometer Source** and is divided into groups. The source you are using is highlighted in orange. Under each option you can see its status: the time of the last data received, the pulses counted (Pulses), the distance (Km) and, for the GPS, the accuracy in metres.

To change the source, tap the option you want to use and confirm with "Yes" when the Rabbit asks "Change odometer?".

==== GPS ====

  * **Km/h (Metric)**: uses the GPS of your phone or tablet and counts the distance in kilometres.
  * **MPH (Imperial)**: the same, but in miles.

==== Rabbit Box ====

  * **Sensor 1**: uses sensor 1 only.
  * **Sensor 2**: uses sensor 2 only.
  * **Average (S1 y S2)**: uses the average of both sensors.

If your phone is already connected to the unit's Wi-Fi network (e.g. RabbitBox1000), the Rabbit detects the number automatically. If not, it will ask you to type your Rabbit Box number, which is written on the yellow label. Once connected, the group title shows the model and number of the unit, for example "Rabbit PRO 6001".

==== Use as Pilot screen ====

This option turns the device into the driver's screen, which receives the data from the co-driver's Rabbit. The group title shows this device's IP address, which you will need to connect over Wi-Fi. See [[en:rabbit-rally-2-0-competidores:navegacion:pantalla-piloto|Pilot Screen]].

==== MiRally Crono ====

Opens the MiRally timing system screen. See [[en:rabbit-rally-2-0-competidores:funciones-avanzadas:cronometraje-mirally|MiRally Timing]].

==== Rabbit Connect ====

**Sensor 1**, **Sensor 2** and **Average (S1 y S2)** to connect the Rabbit to a computer or to the Rabbit Connect app. When you tap an option, the Rabbit asks for the IP address of the device you want to connect to. It is used with:

  * The [[en:rabbit-rally-2-0-competidores:rabbit-virtual-game-es:conectar-el-pc-y-el-rabbit|Rabbit Virtual]] game.
  * The [[en:rabbit-rally-2-0-competidores:rabbit-test-es|Rabbit Test]] simulator.
  * The Rabbit Connect app, to use a [[en:rabbit-rally-2-0-competidores:equipos-y-precision:gps-y-garmin-glo|Garmin GLO]] on Android.

**Recommendations:**

  * When you open the app, the Rabbit reconnects by itself to the last source you used.
  * If you cannot connect to the Rabbit Box over Wi-Fi, check that you are on the unit's Wi-Fi network and try turning off mobile data.
  * On Android, allow the Rabbit to run without battery optimisation restrictions. This avoids disconnections in the middle of a stage.
  * Old Bluetooth Rabbit Box units with a number below 200 do not work on iOS.
