PC Proximity Report
The PC Proximity Report checks all the PCs of the event and warns you about the ones that may cause problems, before the rally starts. It is a good complement to the PC validation described in Control points (CPs).
To open it, on the Control points (CPs) screen open the More drop-down menu and click PC Proximity Report.
This option only appears once the event has its average speeds loaded in Stages.
The report has three sections. It only checks valid PCs and uses the kilometre in the PC name (for example 10.584, as in the PCs created with the Roadbook Designer). PCs with other kinds of names are not checked.
PCs closer than X m
Lists the consecutive PCs of the same stage that are closer than the distance set in Min PC distance (m) (100 metres by default). Two PCs that are too close can confuse the system when it detects the competitors passing.
PCs outside averages range
Lists the PCs whose kilometre falls outside the kilometres covered by the stage's average speeds. It usually points to a mistake in the PCs Excel or in the averages Excel: a mistyped kilometre or a missing average.
PCs near speed average change
Lists the PCs that are too close to a speed change, where the competitor has not had time to adapt to the new average:
- Speed increase: PCs less than X metres after (250 m by default) or less than X metres before (100 m by default) an increase in the average.
- Speed decrease: the same for decreases in the average.
You can change all these distances at the top of the report and click Update.
If you decide to move or cancel a PC, do it before the rally. Once the rally has started, PCs must not be deleted: untick the Valid box to cancel them.
