MiniWeb
The MiniWeb is a small website for competitors, designed for mobile phones. Each competitor logs in with their car number and has everything they need during the rally at hand: the status of their GPS devices, the map, the results, their performance and the Time Allowance requests.
Enabling the MiniWeb
The MiniWeb is set up in Edit Event, in the MiniWeb section:
- Enable MiniWeb: turns on the event's MiniWeb. Its address (URL) appears next to it; this is the one you must send to the competitors.
- MiniWeb Password: optional password. If you set one, competitors will need their car number and the password to log in. It is the same password for everyone.
- Map Button: shows the button for the real-time tracking map.
- Results Button: shows the button for the event results.
- Performance Button: shows the button with the competitor's performance report.
- Time Allowance Button: shows the button to request Time Allowance.
A good way to get the MiniWeb to competitors is to print a QR code with the URL and put it on the road book or on the event notice board.
What competitors see
- Open the MiniWeb URL on the phone.
- Enter the car Number (and the password, if there is one).
Once logged in, the competitor sees:
- Devices: their GPS devices with the battery level and the last contact with the system. This way they can check for themselves that their GPS is working before the start.
- The buttons you have enabled: Map, Results, Performance and Bonuses (Time Allowance requests).
- On the last day of the rally, when the system records their arrival, Race Finished appears with the arrival time.
If the MiniWeb is not enabled, opening the URL shows the message “MiniWeb is not enabled for this race.”
