Driver Screen
The driver screen is a Rabbit Rally feature that allows the driver to see the same information as their co-driver. The difference between the driver screen and the navigation screen is that the driver screen only allows you to view the navigation screen data.
The advantage of using this screen is that, while the co-driver makes adjustments to their odometer, the driver continues with the data on their screen. Another advantage is that the driver does not have to keep looking to the side all the time, as that can be dangerous while driving.
Rabbit Rally 2.0 allows you to make the connection via Bluetooth 4.0, Bluetooth 2.0 or Wi-Fi. To connect the driver screen to the co-driver's Rabbit Rally, choose the method you want and follow the steps below.
Wi-Fi Connection
For you to connect them via Wi-Fi, both devices must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. This can be done in three ways:
(Apple and Android) - by sharing the connection (Mobile Hotspot), if one of the devices has a SIM card to share its internet; (Android) - via Wi-Fi Direct, if your phone has this option; (Rabbit Box Wi-Fi) - by connecting to the Rabbit Box Wi-Fi network.
After connecting the devices, follow the steps below.
- Open the “Connections” screen on the co-driver's Rabbit Rally 2.0 to check the IP, which in this example is 192.168.0.10.
2. Open the “Connections” screen on the driver's Rabbit Rally 2.0. Check that both devices are on the same network: their IPs should have the same prefix. In this example it is 192.168.0.x.
3. Still on the driver's Rabbit, click on “Use as Driver Screen”.
4. Click on “YES” to confirm.
5. Select “Wi-Fi”.
6. Enter the IP of the co-driver's device, which in our example is 192.168.0.10.
7. Done! Now choose the navigation screen you like best.
Important! If you want to view the digital roadbook on the driver screen, you must download the file on it, as this is the only data that the “main” Rabbit does not replicate on the driver screen.
Bluetooth 4.0 Connection
To connect them via Bluetooth 4.0, you must first ensure that the devices are not paired with each other. Then, follow the steps below.
- Start Rabbit Rally 2.0 on both devices.
- Open the connections screen.
- On the device that will be the driver's, click on “Use as driver screen”.
- Confirm by clicking on “YES”.
- Select Bluetooth.
- Select your co-driver's device from the list.
7. Done! On the connections screen you can verify that the connection is made via Bluetooth 4.0, as it shows “BT4: Connected” as in the image below.
Bluetooth 2.0 Connection
Unlike the Bluetooth 4.0 connection, to connect via Bluetooth 2.0 the devices must be paired. After pairing the devices, follow the same steps as for Bluetooth 4.0.
On the connections screen you can verify that the connection is made via Bluetooth 2.0, as it shows “BT2: Connected” as in the image below.
Important! If you want to view the digital roadbook on the driver screen, you must download the file on it, as this is the only data that the “main” Rabbit does not replicate on the driver screen.
