Calibrate with Rabbit Box
To measure the rally correctly we must use the Rabbit Box, but first we need to calibrate the Roadbook Designer.
Before starting to calibrate, it is recommended to have warm tires so that the measurement does not vary on each pass while the tires are warming up. To warm up the tires you should drive for 10 or 15 kilometers.
To calibrate with the Rabbit Box, follow these steps:
- Stop at the start point of the Calibration Stage
- In Connections, select Rabbit Box v2 and connect it
- Go to Calibration
- Tap the odometer and set it to zero
- Drive to the end of the calibration (keeping to the center of the right lane)
- Stop at the end point of the calibration
- Tap the Calibrate KM button, a blue screen opens
- Enter the calibration stage distance in meters
- OK
- Return to the start of the Calibration Stage
- Tap the odometer and set it to zero
- Drive to the end of the calibration (keeping to the center of the right lane)
- Stop at the end point of the calibration
- Verify if the measurement matches
If the measurement does not match, you must repeat steps 7 to 14 until it does. If it never matches, it is because you have some problem with the sensors or box installation. You will need to perform a Pulse Test to detect the problem.
If the measurement matches perfectly, you are calibrated and we can start drawing the roadbook.
