Connections
On the Connections screen you choose where the distance measured by the Roadbook Designer comes from. To open it, tap Connections in the Main Menu.
Get odometer from
- GPS (Km/h): uses the GPS of the phone or tablet, in kilometres.
- GPS (MPH): uses the GPS, in miles.
- RabbitBox: the old Bluetooth Rabbit Box units.
- RabbitBox v2: the Wi-Fi Rabbit Box units. Choose S1, S2 or Average (the average of both sensors).
- Rabbit PRO: choose S1, S2, Average or GPS (the Rabbit PRO's internal high-precision GPS).
- RabbitConnect: connection to another device by IP address (S1, S2, Average or GPS).
- Steps (Mts/Min): for measuring on foot. Each press of the headset button counts one step.
Select the option and tap Connect. The connection status appears below. For a RabbitBox v2, the Designer asks for your Rabbit Box number.
Which option should I choose?
- To measure the rally as precisely as possible, use the sensors of the Rabbit PRO or the Rabbit Box, and calibrate them before you start.
- For the Calibration stage, use the Rabbit PRO GPS with R = 1.
The Designer keeps two calibrations: one R for the phone GPS and another R for all the other connections (Rabbit Box, Rabbit PRO, RabbitConnect and Steps). After changing the connection, always check the R on the calibration screen.
