Timed Stage and PCs (TC)

The stage start reference is the same as the road section end. The file conversion system will duplicate two references in the PDF roadbooks, with the same vignettes and information, but with different measurements:

  1. The last reference of the road section will have its total measurement
  2. The second will be on the next page and will be the start of the timed stage with measurement 0.000. Therefore, it is not necessary to add a road section end reference and another for the stage start.

The steps to draw a timed stage are:

  1. Tap on the first cell of the last reference of the road section
  2. Select as speed stage (V)
  3. Enter the average speed for the start of the stage
  4. Check the 0.00 option which tells the system that from there the odometer starts from zero and should repeat this reference in the PDF roadbooks
  5. Check the WPT option so competitors know the GPS location of the stage start
  6. Tap the camera icon to take the stage cover photo
  7. Reverse to take the cover photo
  8. Draw a line (we suggest yellow dotted) where the exact start point is
  9. OK to save
  10. Drive back to the start point
  11. Tap the arrow to tell the Roadbook Designer you are there
  12. Enable the automatic PC recording option by holding the add PC button and selecting that option.

Done! Now you can continue to the next reference.

PCs
The Designer will add a pass-through PC at +/- 100 m from the start to capture the competitor's start time. The first PC will be created at 500m from the start and the following ones will be created at approximately every +/- 350 m. These PC distance options can be changed on the Designer Settings screen.

Average Speed Changes
To set an average speed change, simply tap the first cell of the reference and change the average speed.

End of TC and Road Section
To end the timed stage and start a road section, simply tap the first cell of the reference, select the stage type E (road section) and enter the road section time.

End of Road Section
When you reach the end of the road section, to start a new stage go back to step 1 and repeat the entire process.
